A wildlife magazine...and a child obsessed with vehicles

May 17, 2026

True story:

We get a children’s nature magazine. Pages full of birds, foxes, bugs, frogs, forests…

My daughter sat on the sofa happily flipping through, looking at the wildlife.

Meanwhile, my son?

He ignored about 95% of the magazine.

Barely glanced at the wildlife.

But then…

On ONE page, there was a photo with some parked cars behind some trees.

He studied this pages for ages, looking at all the cars in the carpark.

Then “That's a Nissan!”

“And that one is too!”

Sure enough…

He was right.

Honestly, I didn’t really pay much attention to the cars and I certainly couldn't have identified any of the makes from behind the trees.

To me, they were background detail.

To him?

They were the MAIN EVENT.

For him, vehicles aren’t just something he likes.

They are his WHOLE WORLD.

I think it's the same for a lot of children who love vehicles.

They spot tractors from half a mile away.

They hear a truck before anyone else does.

They notice excavators hidden behind fences like tiny detectives searching for clues.

It’s just how their brains work.

Which is exactly why I created these vehicle books.

Not silly made-up stories with smiling cartoon trucks…

But real stories about REAL vehicles and what they do in everyday life.

Tractors. Excavators. Combines.

And even a fun spotting book for kids who love picking vehicles out in photos 😂.

Because when a child is already obsessed with something…

Reading becomes easy. Exciting. Fun.

So…

If you have a child or grandchild who notices every digger, tractor, or truck they pass…

Then I think they’ll absolutely LOVE this set of books.

You can take a look at the full collection here.
