Description

A true to life story to introduce beach-loving children to what lifeboats do and how to call the lifeboat. Beautifully illustrated by Richard O'Neill it captures how to call the lifeboat out when someone is in trouble, how it is launched and searches for someone at sea. A fascinating insight for children into what lifeboats do, especially those with a natural interest in vehicles.

Written in rhyming text, it is more engaging and memorable than a 'fact book' for young children.

It focuses on the lifeboat itself, responding to the natural interest many children have in vehicles, making it more relevant and memorable for them.

Charity - Mundesley Lifeboat Station

Sales of this book support Mundesley Lifeboat Station to save lives at sea.

Mundesley Lifeboat Station is an independent lifeboat station located in Norfolk. It is one of over 80 independent stations across the UK and Ireland. Unlike the RNLI, these services rely entirely on public donations and volunteers to operate 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to rescue people who need help at sea.

Since 1972 Mundesley Lifeboat has operated 365 days a year, saving lives on the beach and on the sea across their patch of the North Norfolk coast. Their crew consists wholly of volunteers, giving their time for free day and night, and risking their lives to help others. This truly is one of the best sides of humanity which we need to show to our children to inspire them about the world we live in.
